All BlackBerry suite apps work except for this one. The QR code and access code failed despite I’ve deleted and reinstalled the app multiple times.
It won’t connect. Tried upgrading phone, restarting, reinstalling blackberry UEM and work again. Still won’t work. My IT can’t figure it out
The app fails to sign on and gets into a retry loop over and over. And I know it’s the app being problematic, because Blackberry Work seems seems to work every time. Please fix this bug!
Why is this still an issue when people have been complaining about it for months? If I can’t see who is online why am I using this? It completely defeats the purpose.
Defeats the whole purpose of having this app on my phone when I can’t connect. IT said to uninstall and reinstall but still doesn’t work. Terrible product.
The chat doesn’t connect, just loop in “not connect, retrying”
After the update it now shows all my contacts offline when they are online.
Great idea but can never connect...sort of ironic, yes? Doesn’t work anymore...delete.
When receiving messages I’m seeing the entire HTML format code along with the message. It’s very hard to find the actual message.
When the app works, it's ok. But it's not been very dependable for me. Often times the app seems to log me offline when I close the app. Sometimes it wouldn't let me log in at all. Recently it said I was logged out, but I was still getting notifications and new messages.
I’m working from home for almost two months now due to COVID-19 and this app has not been helpful at all. It continuously disconnects my chat if I look at another app for even a second. Even if I’m only checking work emails via another app from same developer It’ll sign me out. I can’t only have the chat app open at all times. I need to have it open in the background while I work through emails or other work apps if I step away from my laptop. Very unfortunate, especially during these work times when we’re very focused on helping our clients through small business loan applications that have lost everything. Very unfortunate!
This app will not work at all with IOS 13.3.1.
Even after updates, this app is basically useless. Now the app freezes after logging in (which continues to randomly disconnect) so its dead in the water. I grow tired of the back and forth between my company IT and Good pointing fingers at each other, when I clearly can prove a problem. To any CIO’s looking for a mobile solution...AVOID! Your employees will thank you.
I’m totally frustrated. The email portion works great but the connect is horrible. I haven’t been able to connect in 2 weeks now. I have uninstalled and reinstalled several times still nothing. Even worse my online status was stuck in available-mobile and I didn’t even have the app installed at the time. What in the world is that!!! Please fix as my job requires travel and I need to connect when appropriate. Not good to be unreachable or appearing available when not!!!
What happened to notifications when I get an IM? Why even offer this if your IMs go into a black hole unless you have the application open all the time.
You can’t message anyone in iOS 13. You can simply see who’s online and change your status.
I used to get notifications when I would get an IM, even if the app is running in the background, but now that happens intermittently. It’s been like this for a couple months. I assume a new update or something? I have an iPhone X. This app is pointless if I can get reliable notifications.
This app blows. Blackberry fell behind but worst of all doesn’t even know how to keep its good legacy stuff. I hate using this for work.
The tittle says it all. BB Connect is simply worst business app... ever! There are si many problems to list. You receive notification of messages but then you cannot connect to the server to retrieve the message. Worst is the people messaging you receive a message that you are online but the messages were undelivered although they were delivered. And on and on.
I have to delete and redownload this app at least 3-4x per week because it craps out. It will even “lose” my access key right in the middle of an ongoing conversation. How can that happen?!
Sub par to say the least. Practically created an Apple ID to give to this app a 1 star rating. Could be better!

This app should not have been published for consumer use. It does not work the majority of time and what good is an app that is not reliable? Unresponsive and unstable, equals an unusable product.
This app is probably the worst instant messenger client on iOS. Phantom messages come in, then when you auth to the server it refuses to connect because it’s busy. Meanwhile, this never happens on the desktop. Horrific.
I have no issues getting to the email portion. When I try to go over to the chat BB Connect, I get a message saying it’s authenticated to a different user. What?!
My company left Good App and BB Connect to BB Work and BB Connect. What a horrible horrible horrible interface. Each of these BB apps have their own password. No single sign on. BB Connect is NOT interfaced with biometric login. You have to manually enter your cryptic password EVERY TIME YOU OPEN THE APP!!!! Not just once for the day. Good App has ability to authenticate and verify logins. BB Work and BB Connect do not. BB totally falls down. Every time i am out of office and have to look at my texts I have to open my password vault write down the password and manually enter it. This is ludicrous. BB Connect blocks user from copying and pasting from Keychain and third party password vaults too. Obviously not well thought out. So BB you think this is secure? I have to dumb down my password so I can remember it. Folks. Avoid this app if you can.

Very poor app that is unresponsive and inconsistent. Will not allow me to connect randomly despite the IM service working perfectly on other devices. Do not count on this app for business communication.
Its so hard to login!
This app has improved a lot. It’s much better than it used to be. And to be completely fair my connection problems were because IT screwed up our servers, and IT turned off all the useful stuff like fingerprint ID. Everyone tell IT about your problems. Don’t blame B.B. it’s probably ITs fault.
Have to reinstall at least once a week. Locks up and doesn’t authenticate or asks for a new key.
Don’t waste your time. Never connects. Unstable comms. Blackberry putting out garbage like this is why your company is slowly dying off.
While it shows me active, all my contacts show offline. No solution to fix this?

If you can somehow miraculously get it to connect with someone else, you'll be lucky if you exchange 5 messages before it drops a few of them just for good measure. I thought that my congressman held the record for working the least amount of time but this program may take the gold. If my IT department is reading this, you should be ashamed.
Notifies you of old connect sessions you have had on your pc days after the fact. This app is poorly programmed without common sense of what a user would want. Needs more settings / notification options. Further logging frequently takes minutes on strong connections. Frequently even when you log off or exit the app via IOS it still pulls in notifications of conversations you are having on your PC. This is terribly annoying when going between working at your desk and conference rooms in the same day. BlackBerry is just such a joke. They pull back to concentrate on software and even that is subpar.
This app is convenient, but once a person is able to log on. Sometimes it connects right away and sometimes it takes hours or just doesn't connect at all. Defeats the purpose of having the app. And yes my connection is fine especially if I'm able to connect to the blackberry work app and others, but not this. This one always gives me issues. Please review your app and provide a sufficient update as it seems many are having a connectivity issue and issues with taking way too long connect. Thanks.
Easily the worst application I have ever used. Takes approx 10 min to log in each morning and today it chose to give up after 1 hr. It’s the 5 month in a row that I have connection issues. No incentive to fix!

If going slow and having connection issues is more secure, then this app must be WAY secure.
Extremely difficult to see what IMs are new versus what IMs have already been viewed. I hate this app. Amazing how blackberry can make things more difficult than they need to be.

Ok, after a troubled history, this application works well now! Kudos to the devs, it's obvious that some very hard work was done.
App was updated this morning and now it won't connect. This is a critical app that I use for my job and now it won't work appropriately. Fix this version ASAP...
